A Big Day

This past Sunday was a big day in the Covington household. Not only was it my first Mother's Day, but it was also James' birthday and Jesse's baby dedication at church. It was a very special day, and we had a fun time celebrating.

We were given some parenting resources at the baby dedication and it has been good to have some ideas of things to do with Jesse even now that will help to foster in him a love for God. It was also good to reflect on the fact that God works in spite of/through our weaknesses as parents. It's so easy to want to do everything perfectly, and it's just not possible, but it is great to be equipped with some tools to use with Jesse to help nurture him and guide him.
